Pro Tips for the Perfect Ring Fit
Getting your ring size just right can make all the difference in comfort and style. Here are some tried-and-true sizing tips to help you get the most accurate fit—especially useful when using our online ring size calculator:
1. Measure More Than Once
Your fingers can change size throughout the day due to temperature, hydration, and even hormones.
Tip: Measure your finger 2–3 times at different times of day (morning, afternoon, and evening) to get a consistent average. This helps eliminate sizing surprises later.
2. Consider Your Knuckle
If you have larger knuckles, the base of your finger may be narrower than the knuckle itself.
Tip: If the ring has to pass over a prominent knuckle, it’s a good idea to size up by half a size so it can slide on and off more comfortably—without being too loose once it’s on.
3. Wider Bands Feel Tighter
Chunky rings, statement pieces, or bands that are 5mm or wider tend to feel snugger because they cover more surface area on your finger.
Tip: For wide band rings, go up half a size for a better fit. Slim, stackable rings don’t require this adjustment.
4. Avoid Measuring Cold Fingers
Cold weather can shrink your fingers slightly, leading to a smaller-than-accurate size.
Tip: Always measure when your hands are warm—ideally at the end of the day, when your fingers are at their largest. This gives the most realistic sizing for all-day comfort.
5. Try a Ring You Already Own
Already have a ring that fits well on the intended finger?
Measure the inner diameter of that ring and enter it into our calculator—or match it to our size chart. It’s one of the easiest and most reliable ways to size up (literally!).
